Safety Policies Procedures

The Zero-Breese Company has earned the reputation as one of the safest roofing and sheet metal contractors in the country. Safe performance does not happen by chance. Like anything else, it takes advance planning and focus from all of our staff -- starting at the top. Just like quality, our employees maintain an attitude that safety is a high priority. In addition to the protection of our own employees, we do our utmost to protect the safety and health of others.

Commitment To Safety

“Safety is a value, not a priority. Priorities change, values don’t”.

To show our dedication and commitment to safety excellence, The Zero-Breese Company has implemented the following:

Full Time Director of Safety

Zero-Breese has employed a full time Safety Director who is responsible for jobsite safety, pre-planning safety for projects, safety training, loss management, Drug Free Workplace Program, and BWC claims management.

OSHA 30 Hour Competent Person Training

Every Zero-Breese supervisor including all Foremen, Superintendents, and Operations Managers is required by Zero-Breese to take the OSHA 30 Hour Competent Person training course given by an authorized OSHA trainer.

Employee Safety Training
  • New Hire Orientation
Each new employee receives a 4 hour safety course upon hiring.
  • Toolbox Talks
Toolbox safety talks are given by a member of our management team.
  • Safety Day
Zero-Breese shuts down its field operations one day per year and brings all employees in for an eight hour safety training day. This class is presented by various instructors on safety related topics.
Drug Free Workplace Program

The Zero-Breese Company is registered through the BWC as a DFWP participant. We are committed to providing a safe, drug-free project for our customers, contractors, and employees.
