The Zero-Breese Company, Expert Roofing Services Nationwide

The Zero-Breese Company was founded in 1902 and is a full service, union, roofing and sheet metal company. In 2002, the company joined the Tecta America Corporation and expanded the operations nationally and continues to offer its customers a full range of services from new roof construction to roof leak repairs.

George Horton , President

George has been part of the Zero-Breese Company since June of 2005, when he joined the team as the Service Manager, moved up to General Manager and currently resides as President. Although originally from Cincinnati, George has spent many years in the roofing trade in San Francisco, California. He has been involved in the roofing industry in various capacities for the past 27 years. The most recent 15 years have been directed toward sales and management with experience in a wide variety of systems on multiple high profile government projects and high-tech facilities.

Craig A. Miller, Sales Manager

Craig joined Zero-Breese in March of 2004. He has worked in the commercial roofing industry for 20 years and has held management and sales positions for 12 years. Craig began his roofing career in Ohio. However, he has managed roofing projects in 21 states and managed departments or branch locations in 5 states. The varying climate considerations associated with each geographic location have given Craig the opportunity to observe many different systems and application processes. He will use his experience to work with both clients and prospective clients to encourage a well informed choice that promotes quality workmanship along with the appropriate roofing system.

Carolyn E. Proffitt, Controller

Carolyn has been the controller for The Zero Group since 1977 which includes, The Zero-Breese Company, The Zero Company and Midwest Accounting Services, Inc. Prior to joining The Zero Group, Carolyn worked as a revenue accountant for 3 years at the Stone Oil company, an oil and gas exploration company with branch offices in Houston, Lafayette and New Orleans. She also held other accounting related positions while employed by the Tresler Oil Company.

Jim Haitz, Safety Director

Jim Haitz joined the Zero-Breese Company in 2004 as the Safety Director. Before joining the Zero-Breese Company Jim served as Safety Director and Project Coordinator for a company at the Fernald Plant in Ross, Ohio. Jim is a big believer in Behavior based Safety, and brings over 18 years of Construction experience, starting as a welder before joining the Safety field. Jim Graduated from Maysville Community College in 1986 with an Associates Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety Management.
